New year New Domain!

Hi Guys!

Wonder why I haven’t been posting for a while? yes besides the fact that I’m lazy..

Well with the start of a new year and the death of GFC I thought there was no better time to start my new domain and blog.

Never fear it is the same blog I just felt that my blog encompassed much more than just cosplay and as such the domain was misleading.

So the new domain is

www.jeneara.com

simple as easy!

Its a site to showcase my designs as well as my blog!

So please check it out a follow that on your Bloglovin or RSS feed list.

This blog will now be closed but it wont be updated much until I get some good cosplay reviews and photos ready. I will also be posting those on the new site anyway.

So please join me at my new home

Review: Nivea Pure and Natural lip balm in Milk and Honey

When people ask me what’s my favorite smell Milk and Honey is always one of my first answers!

So when Nivea released a lip care product in milk in honey I was ecstatic. Milk and honey on my lips oh nom nom.

I went straight out and picked it up from the nearest Priceline.

Maybe it’s just me or maybe it’s because it’s all natural but I don’t think it smells much like milk and honey at all. Not the standard Milk and honey smell you get from other products on the market. To be honest it smells more like the flowers the honey came from than honey itself.

Sadly the smell is actually irritating to my nose and I can’t use it without my nose snuffling up.

I was really disappointed about the smell. The balm itself is really lovely glides on well, hydrates and nourishes but because of the smell I just can barely use it.

Swatch

Pros
- very moistuerising
- natural ingredients, preservative free

Cons
- I think it doesn’t smell like Milk and Honey
- irritates my nose

Would I repurchase? No, my nose just can’t handle it. I’m trying to use it up by applying it at night before bed. I wake up with my lips feeling great and the smell doesn’t irritate my nose while I’m sleeping. The actual product is great! so hydrating and lovely but the smell!! :(

So if your looking for a lovely lip balm and have a stronger nose than I this product might be just right for you!!

Love letter to my blog

Dear blog
I am so sorry, it’s been far too long since we sat down and had a chat.
I kept planning and then cancelling our coffee dates.
I feel like your a kitten I left out in the cold to starve and for that I am truly sorry.

Life has been well hectic and also filled with large bouts of writers block. My current actions of reading blogs to get inspiration failed as I found myself simply reading them rather than writing.

I always made plans I couldn’t keep and promises that I broke. Like I’ll post tomorrow, I’ll get my camera out when I get home, I’m having a fat day…

But new year means new goals.
So I thought I’d start early and get on mine.

Blog, I promise to visit you at least 2 times a day, to make you feel loved and to romance you like I did when we first started this journey.

Please don’t leave me!
I am nothing without you my love.

Your ever faithful Jen

Tokyo Hardcore Grand Opening!

If you live in Adelaide, love Japanese fashion and haven’t heard of this store, then all I have to say to you is, come out from under your rock, rub you eyes in the bright sunlight and welcome to a world of frills, lace and bitching black coats.

Please be aware this post is going to be very pic Heavy!

Sadly not all photos were taken on launch day :( for some reason most of my photos turned out blurred. I must have been to excited to hold the camera still!

However as not all photos are from the grand opening you guys can see some of the stock they have in store right now! Namely the Angelic Pretty items that weren’t available at open!

So lets Begin!

I love their signage!

The store is smack bang in the middle of Rundle Mall in the Adelaide Arcade! So getting there is super easy. The store itself is tucked away upstairs on the 1st floor of the Adelaide Arcade at Shop 144 Adelaide Arcade, Adelaide SA 5000. That’s on the Rundle Mall side!

A picture of the wonderful Saccharine Darling (left), owner of Tokyo Hardcore with the lovely Katherine (middle ) and Ba Nana (Right) at the grand opening of Tokyo Hardcore.

Current display as of the 24/11/11

I really like these displays, Its a great way to see the clothes on display and different ideas on how items can be coordinated.

The center table displaying a nice selection of socks, head bows and one of the last ERGI First series bunny hood!

Another side table filled with with 6% Doki Doki, Angelic Pretty and Sucre Noir accessories.

Shelves filled with yummy accessories from bands such as Angelic Pretty and Vitae Clothing.

A lovely gift to Tokyo Hardcore given by We’re All Mad Here for their grand opening! This is hung in the Tokyo Hardcore fitting room.

That concludes my photo tour of Tokyo Hardcore! Make sure to check out the store soon if your in the area.

Not only do they have a super cute store based in Adelaide but they are currently working on getting their online store live so if you can’t make it into the store you can still spoil yourself with some great goodies!

Review: SKIN79 Hot Pink Super + Triple Functions BB Cream

Photos belongs to Skin79

Product : SKIN79 Hot Pink Super Plus Triple Functions BB Cream

Brand: SKIN79

Purchased from: Gmarket

Available from: Shoppingholics, PrettyandCute

Price: $19- 25USD review

Hi guys!

I’m back with quick review of the SKIN79 Hot Pink Super Plus Triple Functions BB Cream wow is that a mouthful!

So after seeing a few people using this BB Cream I thought to myself I had to try it!

Frankly everytime I see a ad for BB Cream in Australia about how its so new I giggle to myself. Western countries are just so behind in the times!

There are a huge range of BB Creams on the market now, so the first few things that drew me to this brand were, the people who had already mentioned it on their blogs as well as the bright pink packaging! I’m a sucker for packaging!

I love BB Cream. Frankly I’m really lazy and the less stuff I have to put on the better. Also I hate that look when someone is wearing to much foundation or if its not the right colour! I always have the fear I will end up like that.

I now wear this everyday, unless I’m going to a special event or doing photos. The coverage is enough for me to feel comfortable with and not be heavy at all!

it boasts!

Swatch Time

The only thing I don’t like about this BB Cream is as its directed at Asians it has quite a grey undertone were as my skin has a pink undertone as I’m really pale.  You can see the slight colour difference in the photo above.

Pros

- Reasonable coverage for everyday wear

- Small enough to travel with

- Cute Packaging

- SPF25

- Not overly expensive

- Blends well

Cons

- Has a bit of a grey undertone so I have to set it with a light powder

- Can’t really see any of the whitening effects

- Have to buy it online

- only available in 1 colour

Would I get again? Yes! but I’m going to try out one of SKIN79 other BB Creams that appears to have a more of a pink undertone.

I do like this BB Cream a lot but I feel it might be a little to grey for my skin.
